Way better. Just got ssh restarted via remote without SSH. A cool Jabber bot would be: Jabber2Bash
That's what the console via serial cable is for. (Some hosting center's will provide serial access via their own ssh management console)

yeah, a serial console was too expensive for our new DC :) But I got it restarted anyway :)
What was running that you could restart SSH without using SSH?
well, if I would tell, that would be a big security hole, as the software isn't that secure
heh, the list of possibilities isn't very long: telnet, rsh....
